Tending the Flames

Across Azeroth and Outland, brilliant bonfires have been lit to rekindle the spirits of its celebrants and ward off ancient evils. Every year one person is chosen to guard the sacred flames and ensure that they are never extinguished. Called "flamekeepers," these chosen few call on the aid of brave adventurers to traverse the land and journey into the dark recesses of Azeroth's dungeons at their behest. It is rumoured too that those few who are willing to brave the terrors placed before them, may be rewarded for their efforts through the myriad powers of the flames.

Burning Blossoms
Burning Blossoms are the currency used for the Fire Festival and are used to purchase seasonal reward items from Midsummer Suppliers and Merchants. You can collect Burning Blossoms by completing quests, including the daily quests that are part of the festival. Using them near a Fire Festival Bonfire also grants a temporary but useful buff to your character, or reignites an extinguised bonfire - but consumes the Blossom in the process.

Frosting The Flames Of Summer!

The Earthen Ring has learned that the Twilight Cultists are plotting some nefarious deeds involving the Old Gods in Ashenvale. Stop by your faction's flame to speak with representatives from the Earthen Ring to learn more. A word to adventurers of level 70: their mission may take you deep into the chilling caverns of the Slave Pens, so adventurers should be prepared for the action! The level 70 quest can be completed in both normal and heroic modes but the rewards are scaled for the challenge.

Dancing Around the Ribbon Pole

At every festival camp, one of these traditional decorations stands tall beside the bonfire. Take up one of the multi-colored ribbons and dance around the pole with your friends and fellow celebrants! Although traditionally a focus for the joyous celebrations, even the most seasoned veteran will appreciate the resulting resistance to heat!

By Fire Be Blessed!

The massive bonfires are more than mere lights across the land. Touching any one of these firepits will cleanse an individual of nearly all ailments for the price of a few singed fingers. And if you've been lucky enough to find some burning blossoms, toss them into the fire! The resulting flare will bless you - and perhaps the entire area - with greater prowess on the field!

Snuffing Out The Flames!

In order to increase their own standing with the elemental spirits and decrease that of their enemies, warriors of the Horde and Alliance can visit the bonfires of the opposing faction and, after engaging in blood-boiling battle, can snuff them out, depriving their enemies of the blessings of the fire spirits! Each side will be defending its own flames, though, so those who decide to engage in battle would do well to have an army at their backs!

Fire Juggling!

Speak with the Master Fire Juggler near your capital's bonfire in order to learn how to juggle flaming torches! This daily quest promises a lot of fun, amusement, and some burnt fingers and incinerated armor for butterfingered adventurers!

Fire in the Sky

The lengthy Midsummer Fire Festival traditionally ends with the sky itself being set alight. The goblins of Undermine have lent their considerable skill (and copious amounts of gunpowder) to the task, resulting in a tremendous fireworks show! Take up a festival mug and raise a toast to the season as the multicolored explosions dance across the sky above you!
